Lent--18

After a lovely evening yesterday I awake to another sunny (ish) day. Not hot, but very pleasant to be at the allotment doing some weeding.

On returning home it was time to mow the lawn for first time this year and also to put more seeds into trays: courgettes, cucumbers and yet more parsnips - as sadly, earlier parsnip seeds have not germinated.

The washing machine needed some attention as it is telling us it is not working. So, take the filter out and observe the layers of limescale. Having cleaned the filter, it wouldn't slot back in. So, bending a fork I embarked upon minutes of hacking away and trying to retrieve fragments which once dislodged fell out of reach of my phalanges. Success was achieved and we can continue using the faithful machine.

Later, we went for a walk of just over 3.6 mile along the foreshore at Langstone Harbour. A nice walk.

So to this evening-----clocks go forward---losing an hours sleep :( but it is a sign that summer is not far away :)
