draw the final curtain? I hope not, but it is soon time to draw the curtain on the present decade and open one on the new. Looking back over the last 10 years I have had so many life changing experiences and I can concur with the Bible in Roms 8 v 28---"all things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose."
I embarked on a new career in late 1999 qualified in 2006 and start a new significant job in Jan 2010.
I had cancer removed in 2006 and am still free from it :)
I now two gorgeous grand-daughters and still have two very beautiful daughters :)
I have caught up again with many friends from my past through the services of Facebook and FriendsReunited....Brian, Brendan, Steve, Pauline and Gareth , and Viv.
I have made many new friends through the same sources.... Bob and Bill in USA, Allan in Oz and soon to be Taz, Chris and Ray in Devon, Ang & Baz in Suffolk
It truly is a small world when you compare friend's friends lists and see connections.
One thing I have learned is that I am a person of many opinions (aka self-opinionated) and am learning that not everyone shares them with me despite me sharing them with them! ;)
Age is teaching me that when I was young I was not as sensitive and understanding towards to those who were my elders. Now I am an elder to those younger than me, I can see me as I was in them as they are. We shall see if I can pass one the benefit of my experience to them before they perhaps have similar regrets that I may have.... tee hee.
So as we draw the noughties to a close, it remains for me to say thank you to all those who have had an impact upon my life-----"thank you"---here's to the "teenies?"
