For the third year running we holidayed at Hotel Goldey, Interlaken. Maybe it's a sign of old age or being a tad traditional that we again visited this gem of a hotel by the banks of the River Aare that flows outside and looks towards the Jungfrau. We have learned that we are not the only people to revisit as again this year we met Keith & Barabara from Nr Blackpool---what a character he is! It is worth going back to meet them again.
We have established a good rapport with Monika the Head Waitress whose standard of English is improving year on year. I take great pleasure in winding her up ;)
Barbara the Head Receptionist greeted us a valued customers remembering us from the previous two year's visits.
Ah--the laptop-----I am on my 3rd lappy in 3 years---I do not have much success in keeping them alive. Even this new one of one month has caused me grief this week------firstly, it failed to operate iTunes properly, then said that I was not properly protected with McAfee, then failed to complete the start up process----I was just about to take it back to the suppliers--Novatech----when a call to their technical support proved most worthwhile. Solution----F8---computer repair----select keyboard layout----log in----revert to a ststem restore point----et voila!!!! All is well with the world---or at least my lappy for a while.
This summer my local football team--Pompey--have lived a roller-caoster ride. The owner wanted to sell---the prospectove buyer was not laying cash on the table---our star players were being sold to reduce debt---no new players were coming in-But rest assured the deal was completed this week and now we have bought half a team in 3 days----PFC would not be PFC if life went smoothly.
