Return to Interlaken

Although I have been back from Switzerland for 7 days, on my return I discovered that my laptop was malfunctioning. So after sending it to a repairer I get it back today resulting in this evening being spent downloading and uploading photographs......enjoy.

This was for me perhaps my best holiday so far. I did tandem-paragliding and white water rafting. The feelings of anxiety before the rafting were expected but once we were in the water and on our way the feeling of exhilaration was unbelievable...definately an activity for next year.

We also found a tobaggan run that was probably for kids but we were big kids for the afternoon....that was so cool and again a definate activity for next year---woooooooo.

We met some fellows Brits whilst away, Keith and Barbara from Blackpool and David and Lesley from Weston-Super-Mare. There was no swapping of addresses...snail or email...such brief encounters.

Visiting the Hotel Goldey for the second year running we soon discovered other people revisit the hotel...maybe we are geting old and set in our ways. Keith and Barbara are in their 15th year of visiting!!!! Yes I do want to go again next year because there were things we didn't get to do this year and besides... I like the place :)

Recognising that we are not the fittest people in the world we decided not to go walking up mountains. So in our ignorance decided to walk down from Kleinne Scheigge to Grindelwald...oh boy...what a mistake. We were warned that when walking downhill you use different muscles but we either didn't believe or understand the warning. After walking for over two hours Joy started walking backwards as her legs, knees and muscles were aching. Still the views were beautiful.

Here's to next year.
