That was the day that was

Monday---plan for today was----pressie shopping, cruise on Brienerzee to Brienz and back (without getting off) and then para-gliding to round off this most amazing holiday.

Ok----so we did some quick shopping---mainly new shorts for me to be paid for by Swissair seeing as they lost my luggage 9 days ago! Hot sunny day so just right for sitting up top sun deck for first class passengers (we have been posh this week!).....trip lasted just over 3 hours----finished off film in disposable camera.

Having disembarked we power walked back to hotel and then to photographers to hand in two cameras for developing. Hiked it back to meeting place for para-gliding. There we met family from Solihull. The pilots then chatted ot us and advised that because the wind was strong up the mountain we would not be able to para-glide-----we could end up in Austria!!!!! It must have been bad for the chaps to turn down chance of earning ChFr150 each!!!!!

Whilst it would have been nice to end holiday para-gliding, it did mean I saved myself ChFr300. So whilst waiting to collect pictures we did more pressie shopping and then again sat at Cafe Schuh and each had two half-litres of local brew. Swiss TV were in Interlaken today doing a live program about local traditions and customs. The unkind person would say people were dressed in fancy-dress whereas others would call it national costume.
