Firts day of holiday--------queuing at Heathrow was so disorganised it took us 1.5 hrs just to check in!!!! By the time we got through security we had no time for duty free shopping and then having got seat on plane---Joy and I were not placed together---how mad is that???? As suaul there is always one person who kept plane waiting as they were late getting on board---grrr. Still---good flight-----until we landed---our luggage did not appear on the carousel in arrivals---queued at "lost and found"----made a report and now all we can do is keep fingers crossed that it will appear---coupled with spare clothes my camera was packed in the suitcase so I am none too pleased that that could have gone. Now is the time for the Swiss to prove their effectiveness and find it for us otherwsie he first full day here will eb spent acquiring a new wardrobe of clothes.
Hotel is situated besides the River Aare---is so peaceful and relaxing hearing water rush over a nearby weir----sound only interrupted by trains passing over a nearby bridge---a small price to pay. Have been for a walk and checked out para- and hang- gliding. Bring it on!
I best get ready for dinner now---will post update as soon as I have new news to impart.
