I have an allotment...a what you ask? A rented plot of land to grow own fruit and vegetables. It's cheap, it's good exercise, it's a hobby, it's an opportunity to get a sun tan, it's an opportunity to broaden frinedship groups and best of all? .....you get to eat the rewards of ones labours.This is a pic of two of the many apples growing on one of my four apple trees.
Onto today------biggest surprise was when I turned on PC at work and logging into Outlook---arrghhhh---hospital appointment this afternoon---how could I forget!!!!! Quite easy really as it was a three month checkup as part of follow up to have malignant melanoma excised from my right hand thumb last year. I knew all was well but the hospital want to keep tabs of me for five years. On sunny days like today, it is nice to get out of the office, take a trip across the harbour and cycle on to the hospital. In winter? Not quite so enjoyable.
My work day has mainly revolved around checking links and formulae in a dirty great big spreadsheet that I have inherited to compile the cash flow statement for the authority. Good job I did check links as there were errors. As we used to say---a stitch in time saves nine.
Finally, a little note for Speedy----hope to give you a yes to visit later this week.
