Tomorrow, Friday 17th, is the one year anniversary of me leaving PCC and moving to my new role in Fareham BC. So to celebrate, I am going to meet up with my old colleagues as they have their Christmas meal.
I have truly enjoyed my new role with its many challenges, learning opportunities and realising the significance of the role. I have the pleasure of working with a great bunch of people. It has been thrilling to learn that Emma (my immediate colleague) was invited to one of the sister congregations of my Church by a mutual Facebook friend and that she became a Christian on her first visit. She is now attending our weekly Bible College and is growing in her faith. PTL.
On inviting another close working colleague to our Christmas Spectacular, I learn that she and hubby used to go to Church but on moving to an area where there is no Church they ceased in their attendance. PTL she is coming to celebrate Christmas with us. Praying that she will start Church again in New Year.
At this year's Christmas Spectacular, instead of leading the Choir, I will be co-hosting the many Civic dignatories who have been invited to attend. An excellent opportunity for our city leaders to hear the Gospel of the Christ Child whom we celebrate.
So as I come to end of 2010; it is a time for reflection and thankfulness, and a time for looking to the future knowing that it is in His hands.
