Another stage in life

Sunday saw us taking youngest daughter to University. Day one of year one of her three year course.

Travelling on a Sunday, silly me thought the M25 would be reasonably free traffic and no road works....how foolish. Road widening south of the Dartford crossing was unexpected. ...grrr. The A12 saw us join a trail of motorbikes who were heading east for a rally somewhere---hundreds of them---talk about dangerous driving--oops riding--swerving in and out of the traffic.

We arrived at the halls of residence which are very nice. Lauren, who expected me to load the car with her luggage at home was soon in action grabbing bags and rushing up to the fourth floor and her new home.

Once she had put everything in place and introduced herself to the girl next door---she no longer wanted/needed her parents around and it was time for us to say our goodbyes.

We then met up with friends I had made through playing online backgammon---enjoying a nice meal at Cafe Rouge. Being Joy's first time of meeting Baz & Ang...we all got on very well.....here's to meeting them again.
