Who's miserable?

Friday------enjoyed the scooter ride down from Bort to Grindelwald so much we decided to do it again. So, took cable car up to First first---lol---had a bowl of rosti and then descended to Bort to collect scooter. Took pics of Joy with silly helmet on!

On reaching bottom we took mountain train to Grund and then took another cable car to Mannlichen (got off half way up cos someone thought we had reached the top!) and on reaching summit took big cable car (I am sure there is a proper name for them)--this one took lots of passengers----down to Wengen. Pretty little village/town wiht better class of souvenir shops. Bought the obligatory swiss chocolate cake from the local bakerei.

Caught mountain train back to Launtenbraun and then "normal" train back to Interlaken Ost.

Was another memorable day.
Saturday---we saw that Les Miserables was being performed in Thun so we rushed breakfast and got train to Thun. Not having any idea where the theatre would be we spotted some people with LM tickets and followed them. The theatre is a temporary construction on the Lake facing towards the mountains. Glorious view and a hot day----sun cream was a must. Although the musical was sung in German, the music was in English. It had to be because having played in LM last year I recognised it!
The ticket we bought for the journey was for one-way by train and return on boat....first class of course because this week we is posh. This enabled us ot sit on sun deck on boat on loungers. Boat crossing was in excess of two hours----superb, neat, awesome, wicked!!

Two full days left for this holiday---we are already planning "shall we come again next year" because there is so much to do and see, 10 days this year is not enough time.
