Woke up and logged onto laptop to check status of our luggage...it is getting tedious reading "TRACING CONTINUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER."
Weather today was forecast, and was indeed, raining--well at leaast in the morning. Having checked wording of travel insurance we can claim £75 each for purchase of emergency essentials. So it was off into Interlaken for clothes shopping...you know--the essentials ;-) and new trousers and shirts/tops. It really was tedious trapsing round the shops---what a way to spend the holiday and the holiday money----grrrr!!!!!
We should have been hang-gliding also today but the operator (Bernie) rang to say it was too cold! Weather tomorrow is to be sunny---so we will be flying with the birds tomorrow instead.
Joy isn't that keen to do white water rafting---although it is one of the cheaper activities to do here Ch Fr 99 compared with Ch Fr 185 for hang-gliding and Ch Fr 150 for para-gliding. Train fares are not cheap despite having a half-fare travel card.
We have discovered that in a nearby town , Thun, there is an open-air production of "Les Miserables" being performed. Having checked the website, tickets for evening performances are selling very quickly......so we are hoping to take in a Saturday morning matinee this coming weekend. Despite the production being done in german, I will be more interested in the music considering I was privileged enough to play in a production of it last year....here's hoping the weather is fine!
Joy has told me off for being rude to the german speaking contingent over here. Apparently when I am stretching my calf muscles whilst walking it appears I am imitating the germans soldiers and their goose steps! How can she possibly think I am taking the mickey when all I am doing is stretching my muscles---lol
More later . . . . .
